Deron Michael Huston, 48, of Ashland passed from life on this earth November 30, 2017. He was the son of Elnora and Robert E. Columbia of Flatwoods, and the late Larry Michael Huston.

He was born October 24, 1969, in Greenup County.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Kelly Ann Slone Osborne and both maternal and paternal grandparents, Joe and Ruth Huston, and Louis and Anna L. Raison; two uncles, PR Huston and Sam Huston. 

Deron grew up in Flatwoods, graduated from Russell High School in 1986. He played football and several years of baseball in little league. He worked for Ashland Oil, Inc. and as a dispatcher for MTS.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by two sons, Gage Huston and Cameron Huston of Ashland; half-brother, PJ Huston and sister Cory; three stepsisters, Dana (Billy) Cropper, of Mayslick, KY, Cathy (Chris) Spencer of Frankfort, KY and Laura Reed of Maysville, KY; special uncle, Joe “Bo” Huston of Ashland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Special friend, Megan Ravencraft; comfort dog, Diego.
