Betty Jean Brill, 66, of Flatwoods, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. 

Mrs. Brill was born Feb. 10, 1951, in Paintsville, to the late Den and Lorraine Tackett. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Linda Salyers; and two brothers, Anthony Tackett and James Cottle. 

Betty's life was devoted to her family. She enjoyed fishing and traveling. She was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and a University of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball fan. 

Left behind to cherish the memories they made together are her husband Max Brill, whom she married Feb. 18, 1980; two daughters, Misty (Chip) Brill and Tamara (Chris) Collins; two sons, Brian Ferguson and Greg Ferguson; four granddaughters, Cierra Tygart and her fiance', Tiffani Tygart and her fiance', Kacie Ferguson and Kaitlyn Ferguson; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie Boatright and Diana (Charles) Salyers; four brothers, Tim Tackett, Randy Tackett, Virgil Tackett and Doug Cottle; a special nephew, Dennis Tackett; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Funeral services will be at noon Tue., Feb. 21, 2017, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. 

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
