Agnes Cripple 89, formerly of Flatwoods passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Cripple was born June 23, 1927 to the late Robert and Addie Whitt-Scaggs in Ashland.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Cripple; Sister Maude Evelyn Borders; Brothers Elmer, Donald, William, Charles, and Ran Scaggs.

Agnes was a member of the Raceland First Baptist Church. She loved to sew, cook, and bake. She also enjoyed collecting earrings but most of all she loved being with her family and friends.

Left behind to carry on her legacy are her daughters Nancy (Steve) Jackson and Sharon Slusher; Son Tom (Donise) Cripple. Also surviving is her granddaughter Valerie (Brent) Ratliff; Great-grandsons Tanner and Tate Ratliff.

Graveside services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Dixon Cemetery in Westwood with Brother Talmadge Porter officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Ashland Community Hospice.
