Wilma Jean Gray, 87, of Flatwoods, KY previously of Zephyrhills, Fla passed away peacefully on Monday, July28, 2014 with her family by her side.
Wilma was born July 23, 1927 in Russell, KY to the late Hubert and Eva McKenzie Richards.
Mrs. Gray worked as a bank teller for Chesterton State Bank in Indiana for many years. She enjoyed hobbies such as spending time with her church family, playing piano for the church for 75yrs, working with church youth programs, visiting nursing homes, volunteering for Hospice and a good meal with family and friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Gray in November 2009, one granddaughter Leigh Ann Gray in 2006.
Left behind to cherish to her memory are her three sons; Richard (Carolyn) Gray of Chesterton, IN, Joseph (Mona) Gray of Flatwoods, KY, and Timothy (Symone) of Waveland, IN, one brother Hubert (Qwen) Richards of Oak Ridge, TN and one sister Phyllis O’Brien of Clifton Forge, VA, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She will greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00AM at Carman Funeral Home-Flatwoods with comforting words of comfort delivered by Pastor Jack Edwards and Pat Matheney. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
