Mack, D. Hamilton, JR., 67, of Wurtland, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

He was born in Greenup, KY, on March 12, 1947 to the late Mack and Mary Riffe Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton attended the Old Steam Baptist Church and retired as a heavy equipment operator from Waste Industry. Mack enjoyed hobbies such as, wood working, fishing, socializing with his friends, working on cars, mowing grass, but most of all his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Barbara Boggs, and Phyllis Hamilton, and one brother Leonard Hamilton.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Joy Hamilton of Wurtland, KY, one daughter Amy (Mark) Shaffer, of Wurtland, KY, brothers; Charles Hamilton of Wurtland, KY and Virgil Hamilton of Wurtland, KY, two sisters; Frances (Gene) Vanderhoof of Flatwoods, KY, and Janet (David) Simpson of Wurtland, KY, four grandchildren; Kayla Flanery, Jacob Prince, Breanna Prince and Isaiah Cummings all of Wurtland, KY.

Funeral Service will be held at Carman Funeral Home-Flatwoods on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM with comforting words delivered by Pastor Jack McCleese. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 6:00-8:00PM.
