Buddy Morris Mullins, 79, of Flatwoods, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Ashland Community Hospice Care Center.
Buddy was born on August 22, 1934 in Pike Co. KY to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Thacker Mullins.
Mr. Mullins retired from the US Postal Service where he worked as a mail carrier for many years, he was also a United States Marine Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Buddy enjoyed hobbies such as, gardening and fishing, and was also a member of the Danelyton Missionary Baptist Church, but most of all spending quality time with his family and friends.
Besides his mother and father Buddy was preceded in death by two brothers; Phillip Mullins, and Paul Mullins, and one sister Nancy Rice.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 59 years Ann Mullins of Flatwoods, KY, two sons; William “Bill” Mullins of Fayetteville, Ohio, James Mullins of Flatwoods, KY and one daughter Kimberly Jones, of Richmond, KY and four grandchildren, as well as a host of friends and extended family all of whom will miss him dearly.
There will be a memorial service held at Danelyton Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 4:00 PM with visiting from 3:00PM until service time. Words of comfort will be delivered by Pastor Jim Forest.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Danelyton Missionary Church building fund.
